My Reflection
I enjoyed this project greatly. I thought that this capstone project encompassed what we have learned over our four years of engineering. Everything starting from learning the design process freshman year to keeping an engineering notebook updated every single day. I thought that we had plenty of time to work on and finish this project. We were able to research problems and narrow down the problem that we wanted. Even thought eh EZStrain was not our first idea, we took it as a challenge and were able to come out with a working prototype and clear presentation. Construction of our product was not easy and required a LOT of trial and error. We persevered, while bouncing ideas back and forth which allowed us to come up with a working prototype. It might of not been the most useful idea in the world but, we put both of our minds to this project and used what we have learned over four years to finish a capstone that I proud of.
Ryan's Reflection
I thought this capstone was a great success. Ryan and I faced a lot of adversity with how we were going to complete our product. We changed our concept of how we attempt the water tight seal on the EZStrain 4 or 5 times, but in the end we got it to work. Ryan was a great partner to work with. We didn't have trouble working together at all and our ideas flowed together smoothly. We both worked hard on the project and it is awesome that the work we put in for the past 4 months paid off!
